The material culture of the peoples of Central Asia, including handicrafts, attracted many travelers and scholars and encouraged them to research. The development of ethnic culture of nations can be observed through material culture. In the pre-Soviet period, scientific works of various contents were published that studied the material culture of the peoples of Central Asia. Information about the period of the appearance of carpets and the art of carpet weaving, which occupies a special place in the history of Kyrgyz culture, is practically absent at the present time. However, traditional carpet weaving in Central Asia has been archaeologically and historically studied since the pre-Soviet period
