Arstanov Sabyrkul Abdimanapovich, born in 1983, PhD in Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Deputy Director of the Institute of History and Law at Osh State University, and Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal "Journal of Osh State University. History" He was born on 24 April 1983 in the city of Kerben, Aksy District, Kyrgyz Republic. Ethnicity – Kyrgyz. Citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2004, he graduated from the Faculty of History at Osh State University with a degree in History. In 2007, he completed full-time postgraduate studies at OshSU. In 2015, he defended his PhD in Sciences dissertation in the specialty 07.00.02 – National History. In 2020, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.

Academic and Teaching Activity

Sabyrkul Abdimanapovich is actively engaged in academic research and teaching, specialising in the history of Kyrgyzstan, with a particular focus on the Soviet period. He is the author of over 50 scholarly publications, including 45 academic articles and 3 teaching and methodological manuals. Under his guidance, new approaches to teaching history have been developed, and modern digital technologies are being integrated into the educational process.

Academic and Public Engagement

Sabyrkul Arstanov plays an active role in the development of academic journals, scientific conferences, and educational reform. Since 2024, he has been serving as Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal "Journal of Osh State University. History" and is a member of editorial and organisational boards focused on the advancement of historical scholarship and humanities education in Kyrgyzstan.
